Mark Twain said and I quote ”truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn’t.” A leader once said State Government is giving NANS JCC OYO AXIS NURTW TREATMENT, a vibrant Senator argued it, not because he hate the truth, but the term ‘NURTW TREATMENT’ is what he didn’t understand.
My distinguish Readers, Leaders and Cadres, Comrades in all rank(s), I salute and doff my cap for you, Greatest Nigerian Students, Great!
A NURTW treatment is a tamed modality giving to some set of association who are directly under a certain government. National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) is a pressure group, which serves the student populace in Nigeria and it diaspora, an association which should be untamed by the government. An association which should be respected by politicians and all public sectors, but gradually turning to slave of government, shield of thuggery, hooliganism and embezzlers. The sincerity, unity, doggedness, ruggedness and vibrancy of our past leaders has been replaced with truancy, malice, faction and caucus loyalty, which is seriously denting the hope of Nigerian Students. What won’t we be offer NURTW treatment?
The best African President so far, Nelson Mandela said ”a good head and a good heart are always a formidable combination” but what about having a good head but bad heart? or having good head with bad sight? That’s the architect of nerving combination, that’s the problem the Student Union President (Senators) are facing in this state. Many Senators are good persons when they emerged, but most of us are been tutors by bad leaders, people who want us to date there blind ambition, this is causing many Senators there own trustworthiness to their fellow compatriots, who are suppose to work together as one. The most heartbreaking part is that they will soon dropped this senators after their senatorship, hope we all aware of that? Well, ask yourself, where is my predecessor, is he still relevant to this leaders?
My fellow senator, I know you have been deceiving us, and I am part of the the mistake, it do grieves me for allowing the dissolution of Com. Asubiojo Olujuwon Marshal administration to happened, I told many of my fellow SUG Presidents to let them be, but when I can’t buy their heart with my words, I allowed it. I miss you Com. Marshal, I remembered the UI struggles, assuming Asubiojo Olujuwon Marshal is the the Chairman of this state, with Com. Omoniyi Oxygen as the Vice Chairman, assuming we didn’t allowed taking side to take over us, assuming leaders settled their case without no biasedness and selfish interest, Oyo NANS JCC won’t have be like this. Did Governor even want to see or hear NANS JCC OYO at all, I doubt it.
I know we would surely overcome one day, possibly after this pandemic, every leader, every senator, every comrade must be able to strive for what it’s right. Tell the snitch, it won’t be good for them, the end shall justify us all. Today I am here, tomorrow we are no more, you that claims you are in that position by grace, then act graciously to others, else expect the unusual. It is better to deserve honors and not have them than to have them and not deserve them.
Let’s sing together brothers and sisters in struggles…. Olorun mafi kadara Comrade, sowo Intimidators, awon tin ba strategies enije.
Yours in Struggles,
(Oracle of Positivity)
